National Public Lands Day 2026 will be Saturday, September 26. This is a statewide event that provides unique opportunities for Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteers to participate in our largest single-day of service. Locations across the state will have MNats and others out helping to make Minnesota a better place!

Friends and family are welcome to participate, but must be registered to participate. Everyone will sign a photo release upon site registration. All participants will receive a free NPLD MNat t-shirt as a thank you for participating. You can add additional participant names in the comment field.

Registration by September 4th is required to receive a t-shirt. Registration will close on September 18th for participation in the event without a t-shirt.

I will need three groups of people for the following: pruning a 9ft clearing above our ice skating trail. Which will be 1 mile long and the only place in MN where a person can skate, uphill on ice under a canopy of trees. Loppers will be used to reach that canopy height. The second work site is bud capping (map to be provided). The third site is planting white spruce and red pine as part of our forest ecology project to, "future-proof" the forest against climate change. Bring: water bottle. Northland Arb will provide water, lunch, loppers and gloves.
