Spend a week on the North Shore of Lake Superior exploring with Wolf Ridge Professional Naturalists. With our 2,000 acre main campus, our Lake Superior Field Station, and our proximity to the Superior National Forest, you'll get to experience the magic of the Northwoods, Great Lakes Biome. This course is great for learners of all levels and abilities as Wolf Ridge staff strive to make the course meaningful and memorable for all participants. Focused on field experiences and meaningful capstone projects, we will explore hidden gems and tucked away wild spaces while learning about the Lake Superior watershed, lichens, bird banding, and ecological connections. Explore wetlands, cliff communities, upland forests and the Baptism River watershed not commonly found by tourists. You'll learn essential Naturalist Practices, too, with tools, and skills for further exploration in any biome.

This program is designed to meet all ages and abilities. Whether you are a North Shore expert or beginner, Wolf Ridge Naturalists will be able to offer you new ecological perspectives. Wolf Ridge is a private, non-profit Outdoor School that has been providing programming for all ages since 1971.

Registration fee includes programming at and near Wolf Ridge's stunning ridgetop campus, all course materials and supplies. Wolf Ridge is also happy to offer lodging and meal plans for those traveling from afar, or just meal plans for locals who want to join in on the learning! Read THIS FLYER for more information. A Sunday evening arrival will allow an early start Monday morning. Check-out is Saturday morning to accommodate the Friday evening graduation celebration.

The course cost is $395 and includes course manuals and supplies.

If the course cost is a hardship, please fill out the scholarship application. After the scholarship is fully processed, you will receive a code to be entered in the on-line registration process. Please wait until you receive that code to complete registration.
